Checked against Etsy's How to Download a Spreadsheet of Your Sold Transactions on September 13, 2026.

Before you start

  • Seller access to Shop Manager on a computer
  • The month or the year you want the rows for
  • A spreadsheet app, or somewhere to send the file

Steps

  1. Open your shop options

In Shop Manager, select Settings, then select Options.

You should see the options tabs across the top of the page.

  2. Open the download tab

    Select Download Data.

You should see the export form, with the data type at the top.

  3. Choose the orders data

    Select Orders.

You should see a CSV Type list, plus Month and Year.

  4. Choose the CSV type

In CSV Type, select the file you actually need. Etsy offers order items, orders, Etsy Payments sales and Etsy Payments deposits, and they are not interchangeable. Order items is the one with a row per item.

  5. Set the period

Select the Year, then the Month. Leaving the month unset returns the whole year.

  6. Download the file

    Select Download CSV.

You should see the file save to your computer, named for the shop and the period.

If it goes wrong

The wrong CSV type has no line items

The orders file is one row per order, so a two-item order gives you one row and no SKUs. Pick order items when you need to know what is in the box.

There is no unshipped filter

The export is scoped by month and year, not by order status. Filter on your own side after the download, or work the New tab in Shop Manager for today's parcels.

Do not plan around a column list

Etsy documents only a handful of the columns, payment method, item price, item title and SKU among them. Open one file and map from what it actually contains before you build anything on the headers.

What happens next

The export is a record, not a shipping queue: nothing you do to the file changes an order on Etsy. Tracking still goes back through Complete order on each order, inside the 3 day window for corrections.

Turn the export into a label run

Import the CSV or XLSX into The Workbench, which is part of Pro, and it matches recognised headers such as recipient, address, city, state, zip, weight and order reference on its own. Files with different headers get a mapping step, and a short list can be pasted in instead. Rate and buy USPS and UPS labels across the batch, then print one merged PDF.

Open The Workbench

Yes. Choose the year and leave the month unselected, and the file covers the full year.

Etsy does not document a tracking column in any of the four CSV types, so do not build a reconciliation on one. Check a downloaded file before you rely on it.

Order items, because it carries a row per item with the SKU. The orders file is one row per order and hides what is inside it.

Etsy documents the path through Shop Manager on the web only, so use a computer.
