How to ship a Reverb order with your own label
The Reverb order reads as shipped, the buyer has the tracking number, and the payout check that Reverb runs on tracking can pass.
Checked against Reverb: How to enter tracking information on an order on September 13, 2026.
Before you start
- A label you already bought from the carrier, with the tracking number in front of you.
- Seller access to the Reverb account that took the order.
- The carrier name as the carrier writes it, so you pick the right Shipping Provider.
Steps
-
Open the order in Reverb
In your Reverb account, go to Orders and open the order you have packed.
You should see the order with its Shipping Details section.
-
Select Add Tracking Info
On the order, select Add Tracking Info. Reverb offers this route to sellers who bought postage from the carrier, alongside Get Reverb Shipping Label.
You should see a short tracking form with a Shipping Provider list.
-
Choose the Shipping Provider
In the tracking form, choose the Shipping Provider that is carrying the parcel.
You should see the provider set to the carrier whose number you are about to enter.
-
Enter the tracking number
In the same form, enter the tracking number from the label you bought. Check it against the label a character at a time.
You should see the whole number, with no spaces at either end.
-
Select Add Tracking
Select Add Tracking to save the number to the order.
You should see the tracking number under Shipping Details on the order.
If it goes wrong
- There is no separate mark as shipped button
On Reverb, entering tracking is the action that marks the order shipped. Sellers arriving from other marketplaces hunt for a second button and there is not one.
- The tracking status reads unknown
Reverb warns that if your tracking status says "unknown", fixing it "is essential to receiving your payout". A mistyped number, or a label that never got an acceptance scan, both show up this way.
- The order has no tracking number at all
Reverb states that "a valid tracking number is required for every order on Reverb". An untracked service leaves you with nothing to enter here, so buy a tracked one.
What happens next
Reverb asks you to ship within 3 business days of the sale, and within 24 hours on a 2-day order. Tracking on the order is what verifies the shipment, and Reverb ties your payout to it.
Reverb Protection survives an outside label, because Reverb needs "record of both the payment and the shipment on Reverb" rather than a Reverb label. Safe Shipping is the one thing your own label gives up, since Reverb sells it only on a Reverb label.
Buy the label, then paste the number
You can price USPS and UPS for the parcel in our app, buy the label and print it, then copy the tracking number into Add Tracking Info on the Reverb order. The weight comes from your saved product presets or from what you type once.
Related questions
Yes. Its tracking article points sellers to "Add Tracking Info if you got your shipping label from the carrier directly, or Get Reverb Shipping Label". Either way a valid tracking number is required on every order.
No. Reverb Protection asks for "record of both the payment and the shipment on Reverb", not a Reverb label. Safe Shipping is the part that needs a Reverb label.
Reverb documents 3 business days from the sale, and 24 hours on orders sold with 2-day shipping.
Reverb publishes no deadline for entering it. It does require shipment inside the window above, and it holds the payout until tracking is on the order, so enter it the day you ship.
