Before you start

  • The listings the buyer wants, open in front of you
  • The shipping method set on each one
  • A box that fits the whole bundle

Steps

  1. List the items the buyer is bundling

Write down every listing in the offer. The conversion rule below applies to the set, not to the items one at a time.

  2. Check the shipping method on each listing

Open each listing's shipping settings and note whether it is on Depop Shipping or on My own Shipping.

You should see either one method across the whole bundle, or a mix.

  3. Expect the conversion on a mixed bundle

Depop states that "we'll automatically convert the manual order to Depop Shipping and provide one label to cover all items". A mix means the bundle ships on Depop's label, whatever the individual listings said.

  4. Even out the listings if you want your own label

Set every listing in the bundle to My own Shipping before the sale, or accept the Depop label. There is no per-item split once the order exists.

  5. Pack the bundle as one parcel

One label covers all the items, so the bundle travels in one box.

You should see a single tracking number on the order for the whole bundle.

  6. Ship the Depop label inside 5 days

Depop Protection asks for the label to be used within 5 days, so a converted bundle still has a clock on it.

If it goes wrong

Buying your own label for a converted bundle

The order is on Depop Shipping once converted, and Depop says shipping a Depop Shipping order another way means "your order may be automatically canceled and refunded". Use the label it gave you.

Two parcels, one bundle

One label covers all items, so a bundle split across two boxes leaves one box travelling with no scan behind it. Fit the bundle in one parcel or do not bundle it.

The bundle is heavier than either listing assumed

Check the combined weight before you accept the offer, because the conversion gives you one label rather than a chance to rate each item.

What happens next

On a converted bundle you are inside Depop Protection, capped at $300 in the US. On a bundle where every listing was on your own shipping you are outside it, tracking still has to reach the receipt within 10 days of the sale, and the carrier claim is yours if the parcel goes missing.

With I'd Ship That

One box, one label, when the bundle is yours to ship

When every listing in the bundle is on your own shipping, rate the packed box across USPS and UPS and buy the one label it needs. Weight comes from your saved product presets or from what you type once, so a bundle is the sum of its saved items rather than a guess. The tracking number is on screen to paste onto the Depop receipt.

Buy the label

Through a bundle, yes. Depop issues one label to cover all the items, and a mixed bundle is converted to Depop Shipping automatically.

Because the bundle mixed shipping methods. Depop's wording is that it converts the manual order to Depop Shipping and provides one label for all items.

No. That is the case Depop describes as risking an automatic cancellation and refund.

Keep every listing in your shop on the same method. A single listing left on Depop Shipping converts any bundle it joins.
