New Walmart orders in.
Shipped, with tracking, out.
Your seller-fulfilled Walmart orders come in with the Expected Ship Date and any item weights Walmart has, once you approve the connection inside Walmart. You acknowledge each one and buy a USPS or UPS label, and the carrier and tracking number go onto every order line, so Walmart marks the lines Shipped.

Walmart grades the tracking number, not where the label came from
Walmart asks for valid tracking information “for at least 99% of your shipments”, so one bad number in a hundred is the whole allowance. It sits beside two other limits in Walmart’s seller performance standards.
The five reasons Walmart gives for an invalid number
- Invalid tracking IDCopied from the label. The number goes to Walmart as it was printed, with no spaces or dashes typed in.
- Invalid tracking URLA tracking link on every line goes with the number.
- Misleading trackingEach box keeps its own number, written only to the lines packed in it.
- Non-integrated carrierUSPS or UPS, sent under the carrier name Walmart’s own list uses.
- No carrier scanStill yoursGet the box to USPS or UPS before the Expected Ship Date passes. A scan is a carrier event, and nothing on a screen can supply one.
Four of the five are entry errors. The list is Walmart’s own, from its valid tracking number policy. How to keep Valid Tracking Rate at 99% walks through each one.
New, Acknowledged, Shipped
The three statuses a Walmart order moves through, and which of them is yours. Walmart’s own guide to acknowledging orders sets out the middle one.
New
Seller-fulfilled orders arrive
Purchase orders you ship yourself show up on their own, with the buyer, the ship-to address, the shipping method, the Expected Ship Date and Walmart’s item weights where it has them. WFS orders stay with Walmart.
AutomaticAcknowledged
You accept it, then buy
Tap Acknowledge and Walmart moves the order to Acknowledged. Until you do, rates stay locked, so no postage is spent on an order you have not accepted. Then pick USPS or UPS.
Your moveShipped
Tracking lands on every line
Buying the label sends the carrier, the tracking number and a tracking link to each order line in the box, and Walmart marks those lines Shipped.
Automatic
USPS and UPS, priced on a Walmart purchase order
Where Walmart sends an item weight with each order line, the package weight is added up for you before the first rate appears. A line that arrives without one asks you for it instead of guessing.
USPS and UPS come back side by side on the buyer’s own address, with your shipping rules applied. The Expected Ship Date rides on the order, so the choice between Ground Advantage and Priority Mail is made against the date Walmart measures you on.
Shipped on Walmart, line by line, when you buy
Walmart records a shipment against order lines, not the order as a whole. So the carrier and tracking number go onto each line in the box, and Seller Center never needs opening.
Never touched: your Walmart listings, prices and inventory. Two things are written to Walmart only when you ask: the acknowledgement, and a refund on a Walmart return.
Returns, cancellations and fees
Returns
Walmart gives the buyer the return label. When a return request comes in, it shows up beside your orders, and the seller refund can be issued there, by item and quantity.
Cancellations
A purchase order Walmart cancels leaves your list. If its label is already bought, you get an alert, so you can void it before the box goes anywhere.
Fees
Walmart does not put its referral fee on the order, so none is shown here. Your Walmart fees stay in Seller Center, where Walmart reports them.
What a label costs here
Postage is charged per label, and the full price sits on the purchase order before you buy. Connecting Walmart costs nothing and there is no monthly minimum. On PO 1804362917058 above, the Pro price is $8.40 under the Post Office’s price for the same box.
One purchase order at a time works on a free account. The Workbench, part of Pro, takes the day’s acknowledged purchase orders and rates and prints them together.

Questions Walmart sellers ask first
Seller-fulfilled orders that are still to ship, whether New or Acknowledged. Orders fulfilled by Walmart through WFS are Walmart's to ship, so they never appear. When Walmart cancels a purchase order it leaves your list, and if you already bought its label, you get an alert.
No. A New order comes in with an Acknowledge button, and one tap acknowledges the whole purchase order on Walmart. Rating and buying stay locked until you do, so you never pay for postage on an order you have not accepted.
You sign in to Walmart and approve the access there. There is no Client ID or Client Secret to copy out of Seller Center and paste in. In early access, the Walmart option opens once your account has access; leave your email and we will write when it does.
Yes. Split the order into packages and buy a label for each. Each box's tracking number goes on the order lines that went in it, so Walmart records every box as its own shipment.
It takes the typing out. The number goes to Walmart exactly as printed on the label, with USPS or UPS as the carrier and a tracking link on every line. Walmart still needs a carrier scan, so the box has to reach USPS or UPS on time.
Walmart gives the buyer the return label; we do not supply one. Return requests show up beside your orders, and you can issue the seller refund from there, by item and quantity.
No. Walmart does not put its referral fee on the order, so we do not show one. Your fees stay in Seller Center.
No. Walmart's seller protections cover orders shipped on a Ship with Walmart label, and a label bought here is not one. A lost parcel is a claim with the carrier.
Voiding the label does not take the tracking number back off Walmart. Fix the number in Seller Center inside Walmart's window: 24 hours, or the first carrier scan, whichever comes first.
